An overview of the key benefits for attending Pharmapack 2023.
If you haven’t already booked hotels and flights to Paris for this year’s Pharmapack, now is the time to get them booked. You only have 3 weeks left until the start of event season 2023. If you are still unsure of whether to attend Pharmapack (or any of the other CPHI event around the world for that matter), here are 8 reasons why you should attend Pharmapack this year.

1. The only show wholly focused on pharma packaging
Pharmapack attracts over 5,000 attendees and unites the entire pharmaceutical packaging supply chain for two days in the city of love itself, Paris. Pharmapack is the European hub for everything to do with pharma packaging and drug delivery and is the only event in Europe with this focus so if you are in this field, Pharmapack is the place to be!
2. See the newest innovations in pharma packaging
There are over 300 exhibitors at this year’s event, all of which will be showing their suite of new products and services within the pharmaceutical packaging field. Whatever your area of expertise, or your purchasing need or which you might need to purchase within in the future, you will have access to all of the available products, services and organisations in one exhibition hall.
The large number of exhibitors will no doubt provide the perfect opportunity for networking and learning about new products plus the latest processes and innovative technologies. As well as the booths themselves, there are also lots of opportunities to listen to world-class industry experts in the Pharmapack Conference Theatre. This is the best place to find out more about the latest market trends in the pharma packaging industry and hear directly from the innovators themselves. For more information, have a look at the Pharmapack website’s content agenda so you make sure you don’t miss any great speakers.
3. Revitalise key partnerships
According to Informa’s attendee survey, 25% of respondents have said the main reason for attending is to find new partners for future collaboration. The pharmaceutical industry, like any global industry, evolves and therefore partnerships will also evolve over time especially as new suppliers and technologies enter the arena. Pharmapack provides the opportunity to cement existing partnerships and also revitalise them. Face-to-face is the best method for this task, and there are multiple options at Pharmapack to catch up over a café au lait and croissant for that more social and informal meeting opportunity. Equally there are more formal meeting rooms available for more formal conversations at the exhibition.
4. Build new relationships
In a similar vein to the partnership point, whilst ensuring existing relationships and partnerships are solid, it’s crucial in business to continue to build new relationships. This is true of all B2B industries not just pharmaceuticals. If you are looking to mix with key decision-makers throughout the pharma supply chain, there will be many events happening throughout the show which will naturally provide this opportunity.
The key to building new relationships is to have a list of target people you would like to meet. Do your homework before the event to find out who the right person is to meet at the show. Make use of the exhibitor lists on the Pharmapack website which provides up-to-date details of the representatives attending the event and also the location of each stand so you can easily plan your days to minimise those tired feet! There is also the Pharmapack App which gives you the opportunity to connect to visitors and exhibitors via an easy-to-use platform. Use it to arrange meetings, look up stand numbers and even see where you are via the very helpful map! This is a show lifeline when you are in the middle of the exhibition hall so don’t forget to download it before you get to the hall!

5. Promote your organisation
Even if you are just visiting as an attendee, Pharmapack provides a fantastic opportunity to promote your own organisation and all the products and services you can offer other organisations. As an exhibitor, this is a given but you can also do this as just a visitor too. The show gives the perfect space to build brand awareness, create demand and interest and ultimately generate sales leads. In addition to on-the-ground activity, don’t forget that CPHI also offer paid opportunities if you would like to promote yourself further to the attendee audience.
6. Collect competitor intelligence
Much of the above can also be done to collect intelligence on competitors. It’s not every day organisations get an opportunity to come face-to-face with competitors, competitor products, find out what their marketing strategies are and who the key client-facing people are. At Pharmapack, you can do just that. Both exhibitors and attendees can put some time aside, maybe during more quiet periods or towards the end of the show days, to do some valuable competitor investigation.
7. Enjoy some downtime in the city of love
As exhibition locations go, there are few better than being in the stunning French capital, Paris. From its tree-lined boulevards, endless museums, stunning fashion boutiques and who could forget the café culture, you certainly will not be bored in your downtime after being in the exhibition hall all day. With a city this large, it will be impossible to see it all in a couple of evenings but try and see the light show at the Eiffel Tower. It is not to be missed! A great tip is to utilise the public scooter initiative. These scooters can be found all over Paris and for approx. €10 you can scoot around and see the main sights in a short space of time. A great and fun way to see the city!
