ROLE: ACCOUNT MANAGER
LOCATION: CHESTER, UK (CITY CENTRE)

Orientation Marketing is a leading pharmaceutical and life-sciences marketing and communications agency. Headquartered in the UK with offices in North America and on mainland Europe, we have grown consistently since our inception in 2015. In the last year alone, we added a specialist communications practice and in-house creative/design studio to our service portfolio, and moved to a new, larger head office premises in The Steam Mill, Chester.

ACCOUNT MANAGER JOB Description

As an Account Manager at Orientation Marketing, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of pharma and life science client accounts, ensuring that their needs and expectations are met. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and develop strategies to grow existing accounts.

This role requires a highly motivated, organised and detail-oriented individual, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the success of our clients and the overall business.

ACCOUNT MANAGER Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring that their needs and expectations are met.

  • Develop strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service and support.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing, studio, and PR/Comms, to ensure client needs are met and exceeded.

  • Monitor and analyse client account performance, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.

  • Coordinate with internal teams (such as production, finance, and legal) to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Respond to client inquiries and resolve any issues that arise in a timely manner.

  • Attend client meetings and presentations as needed.

  • Ensure that all client account information is accurate and up-to-date in our systems (e.g. CRM, Marketing Automation software).

  • Stay up-to-date with pharma and life science industry news, developments, and best practices to continually enhance your knowledge and expertise.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and innovations in on and offline B2B marketing and make suggestions to senior management about how to incorporate them into our portfolio.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferable.

  • 1-2 years of experience in account management, sales, or related field.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and deliver exceptional customer service.

  • Experience in project management and coordination.

  • Knowledge of CRM systems and other sales and marketing tools.

  • Understanding of marketing and sales principles and practices.

TERMS AND BENEFITS

  • The role will be subject to a three-month probationary period.

  • Normal office hours are 9:00-17:00 (35 hours per week).

  • 20 days annual holiday entitlement.

  • Permanent, full-time role, Chester city centre office (five minutes walk from the train station).

  • Salary: From £28k (negotiable on experience)
