Chris Lawson
Director & Co-Founder
Chris has over 12 years publishing experience working for some of the world’s largest media suppliers including Haymarket Publishing, Reed Business Information (RBI) and UBM. Chris has spent a number of years working in science industries and was most recently publisher for Pharmaceutical Technology Europe. Over the years he’s amassed experience and knowledge into what works and what doesn't in technical B2B marketing, keeping ahead of the curve when it comes to modern, innovative marketing methodology.

Gareth Pickering
Director & Co-Founder
Gareth has worked for over 20 years in B2B publishing across global organisations such as UBM, Reed Elsevier and Advanstar as well as small independent niche publishers such as Rapid News. Gareth specialised on the medical device, medtech, analytical chemistry and chromatography titles. He launched the Medical Plastics News magazine in 2012. He has worked on many integrated multi-channel global advertising campaigns across the life science channels including pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, performance materials, cosmetics, food, and the analytical chemistry verticals. He has a deep understanding of these media landscapes and has experience with both the strategy and the implementation of highly complex and niche B2B media programmes at the highest levels.

Elliott Berger
Board of Directors and Strategic Advisor
Elliott is a highly creative and top-performing Global Commercial, Marketing and Strategy Executive and Corporate Officer with a reputation for driving growth, innovation and change at Catalent/Blackstone, J&J and Ernst & Young. Elliott is currently a Fractional CMO, Senior Advisor and Board Member for a diverse set of Private Equity, Investment Funds, Pharma Services, Life Sciences and Biotech as well as Marketing Services. Recent projects included acquisition strategy and due diligence; market entry and expansion; marketing and commercial transformation and US market expansion for Emerging Market players. Segments included CDMO, CRO, Drug Delivery Technology, Fill/Finish, Cell & Gene Therapy, Discovery/Science Services and Consumer Health.

Chris Halling
Director of Communications and Content
Chris leads the communications and content practice at Orientation Marketing. He has more than 30 years of experience in marketing and corporate communications, including media relations, marketing and communications strategy, product and brand management, and crisis readiness. This experience includes the marketing of drug delivery technologies and devices, pharmaceutical development, and manufacturing services, and in surgical equipment.

Gareth Roberts
Digital Marketing Operations Director
A Chartered Marketer, Gareth has held various marketing positions over 15 years across technology organisations, B2B consultancies and digital agencies. He has experience in content creation, email marketing, social media, PR and inbound marketing on a strategic and tactical level. He holds SharpSpring and HubSpot awards, including the Inbound and HubSpot Marketing Software certifications and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He brings his experience to help with client inbound and digital marketing needs to build audiences, generate marketing leads and drive customer acquisition.

Anne Lawson
Account Director
Anne has over ten years of senior account management experience from previous employers including Thomson Reuters and Clarivate Analytics. Anne worked at Thomson Reuters for over 13 years, looking after a wide range of customers ranging from international pharmaceutical and other companies to financial institutions and government organizations. Anne also worked more recently at Clarivate Analytics, gaining experience in the fast-moving life sciences space, looking after a portfolio of scientific research departments within European universities. Anne has BA and MA degrees from the University of Jyväskylä in Finland, including studies at Julius Maximilian University in Würzburg, Germany, as well as Higher National Diploma in Business and Finance from London Metropolitan University. In addition to English, Anne also speaks Finnish, German and Swedish.

Lauren Murray
Account Manager
Lauren has over 15 years’ experience in media publishing and marketing. Lauren started her career with Hearst UK and managed the retail marketing strategy for the Health and Weeklies portfolios including brands such as Men’s Health, Women’s Health and Best magazine. Most recently, Lauren has worked for craft publisher managing the circulation and retail marketing strategies for 13 craft brands across 4 territories including US and Australia. Lauren has a BA degree in Marketing from Lancaster University and Digital Marketing certificate from the Institute of Direct Marketing. She brings her marketing and account management experience within publishing to the agency to help with client objectives. A strategist at heart, Lauren loves working with clients to build successful media plans and prides herself on her strong planning ability, client management skills and brings a wealth of experience with her to the agency to achieve this.

Nyah Davies
Digital Marketing Executive
Nyah joined the agency as an apprentice, having previously studied Media, ICT, Photography and Business, now completed her Level 3 course as a Digital Support Technician. Having progressed through her formal training, and having worked with the wider team members at Orientation Marketing, Nyah helps the wider team as a liaison with many of the publishers we work with and contributes as support for a wide range of client projects. Nyah also works on a range of digital marketing projects, and is a valuable member of the team ensuring that client projects are on track and on time.

Dave Hall
Creative Lead
Dave has 32 years’ experience working as a Creative/Design Director, Head of Design and most recently Creative Lead. He has worked with and built relationships with clients such as Unilever, Pfizer, Roche, GSK, Sanofi and Johnson & Johnson. His approach is to apply strategic-thinking, creative idea generation and effective design application, through collaborative teamwork to create outstanding work, achieve client and project objectives. He brings a forensic level of detail to Orientation Marketing’s internal quality assurance process, ensuring that projects are on-brief, on-budget and on-time, delivered to the high standards of the agency’s ethos.

Lucy Clements
Digital Marketing Apprentice
Lucy joins Orientation Marketing as a Digital Marketing Apprentice and will support the wider team on all aspects of digital marketing. She comes to the agency having studied business, psychology, and media studies, and her current apprenticeship follows two periods of work experience with us. She is currently studying through an advanced digital marketer programme run by Apprentify, a leading apprenticeship training agency, where, alongside on-the-job learning, Lucy will develop her knowledge through formal training in social media, branding, search engine optimisation and pay-per-click.

Rayan Thorpe
Pay-Per-Click Lead
Rayan is a highly experienced paid media and digital growth specialist, with over 10 years' experience managing omni-channel campaigns across search, social, video and programmatic media buying. His track record of successful campaigns spans multiple healthcare and pharma agencies, where he worked on campaigns for large and small biopharma clients including Roche, Boehringer Ingelheim, Bayer, Lilly and Novartis. He holds a bachelor’s in business and management from the University of Hull Business School, U.K.

Partner, Strategy & Content
Kevin runs Orientation Marketing’s sister agency, Bio-Atomic, in North America. He is a PhD who started his role in the lab before working his way to be global marketing head at an international CMO. He has over 15 years of pharmaceutical services industry experience and specialises in strategic business functions that identify, connect and sign new business in technical industries. Pharmaceutical and life science organisations can benefit from his insight and relevant understanding of a CMO’s marketing needs.

Lynda Kendall
Creative Designer
Lynda is a graphic designer with over 20 years experience working in varying sectors, including arts and heritage, education, IT, life science and pharma. She has a vast knowledge in all aspects of design, from creating artwork for large format convention stands or billboards, leaflets, reports, infographics, merchandise, brochures, branding and digital advertising to dealing with print quotes and suppliers. Her clients have included Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Royal Exchange Theatre, NCC Group, Manchester International Festival, Salford City Council, HOME, The Whitworth, The Lowry and BBC Philharmonic, and she also works on the design output for Orientation Marketing’s clients.

Roshan is a highly experienced digital marketing professional with over 10 years of experience and a proven track record of generating consistently positive results from SEO, PPC and Paid social. He was Head of PPC for a leading digital agency before he founded Increase Traffic Ltd in 2019. He has extensive experience in managing large and complex campaigns for a wide range of clients, industries and budgets such as Pharma and Healthcare, as well as within a range of other sectors. Roshan is a Google Partner and Microsoft Accredited Professional specialising in search, display, shopping, mobile, video and analytics.
