Brand awareness and new product launch campaigns


THE CLIENT

Headquartered in Mainz, Germany, SCHOTT Pharma is an organisation specialising in the manufacture of glass and glass-ceramics. We were delighted to win the business to work with this leading international technology specialist with a rich 125-year history, and often provide strategic marketing direction to them alongside our core media planning and buying offering.

THE CHALLENGE

SCHOTT Pharma was looking to promote its presence at several key trade events, and, in addition, needed to promote a new product line of RTU syringes, vials, as well as a range of cartridges. The client approached Orientation Marketing due to our specialist services, our access to hundreds of media partners and publications and our knowledge of Schott’s varied target markets in locations throughout Europe and beyond.

MEDIA PLANNING

We undertook a comprehensive media plan research project, exploring every media brand (both print and digital platforms) in the industries our client serves, and conducted analysis on each media brand, based on the following metrics: audience, reach/impressions, CTR, CPM and geographical coverage. We delivered a long list and a shortlist of our recommendations to the client. After consultations with the client, we agreed upon a targeted shortlist of media brands.

Orientation Marketing carried out the booking of each asset handling all the heavy lifting involved in booking the space, material preparation and deadline submissions. Following the management of each advertising campaign, we prepared full metrics for presentation back to SCHOTT Pharma and their representatives. We presented an analysis of the performance of each media brand and asset for the benefit of future campaigns.

For the product-focused campaign, we identified the best digital platforms that would facilitate the promotion of the product line and managed the bookings, placements and full reporting of the results.

CONSULTANT RESEARCH

The client requested our knowledge and insight to assist in increasing the exposure across associated media for its diagnostics business unit. The client was also looking for relevant media outlets in the IVD and microfluidics space. We undertook a full research project into all media brands represented in the diagnostics industry, ranking them using different criteria, such as audience size, relevance and quality. The report was supported by our own data, collected in previous marketing campaigns that we managed in the diagnostics industry.

OUTCOMES

SCHOTT Pharma initially approached Orientation Marketing for media planning and buying services, and following that initial project, we have become a strategic partner that advises and guides SCHOTT Pharma’s vibrant marketing team during key stages of their other promotional plans. Relying on our industry knowledge and experience whenever they need it during a range of campaigns.
