A branding and content strategy in a brand new market


THE CLIENT

Founded in 1896, SGD Pharma is a global leader in glass pharmaceutical packaging. The organisation specialises in the manufacture of vials and bottles across its manufacturing plants in Europe and Asia. SGD Pharma produces over 8 million vials and bottles per day in these manufacturing plants and employs over 700 people.

THE CHALLENGE

SGD Pharma came to us with a specific task in mind, with a brand message and product that needed unleashing to the world. The primary marketing objectives for our client were two-fold:

1. BUILD A CONTENT BRANDING STRATEGY

  • Share relevant and consistent messages to key targets and opinion leaders.

  • Leverage the company’s reputation as a reliable quality leader, and as an innovative supplier to the pharma primary packaging industry.

2. STRENGTHEN OUR CLIENT’S REPUTATION AND VISIBILITY IN THE US MARKET

  • Increase the company’s visibility in digital media.

  • Boost website traffic and generate qualified leads.

CONTENT CREATION

Working with SGD Pharma, Orientation Marketing commissioned an editorial piece with our writers in cooperation with a leading North American pharmaceutical manufacturing B2B media brand. We liaised with key experts within our client’s pharmaceutical business unit and produced a case study and whitepaper on behalf of the client. Working in collaboration with the product managers, we also created over 50 pages of SEO-compliant technical website copy.

We also managed the interview process between the editor of the media brand and a technical expert within our client’s organisation. The finished product was an attractive, educational article that can be repurposed across future campaigns. We organised all the relevant interviews and liaised with the content creation team and the client.

TECHNICAL BROCHURE CREATION

Our writers worked in collaboration with the product leaders at SGD Pharma to put together a 15-page technical product brochure. We also produced, wrote and designed highly technical product brochures around their Sterinity product range. Orientation Marketing created several articles in the form of interviews and collaborative content that were published through several key pharmaceutical publications.

CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS BROCHURE

We worked extensively on writing, designing and creating an internal corporate communication presentation that was circulated to all staff and presented to the highest board level. The extensive and lengthy document and presentation was both highly technical, informative and engaging.

OUTCOMES

SGD Pharma and Orientation Marketing regularly collaborate on key campaign elements throughout the year, supporting the client on a range of marketing and promotional activities. Projects include the creation of key content for our client’s new Sterinity platform, recently featured in the Innovation Gallery at CPhI Worldwide 2019.

We support SGD by providing written tweets on a weekly basis and we also proofread all documents that are translated from French to English for them for grammatical and technical accuracy.
