Every Ocean Bottle funds the collection of 11.4kg / 25lbs of ocean-bound plastic, equivalent to 1,000 plastic bottles in weight. New collection points in places where plastic pollution is worst are rolling out with partners around the globe.

Collectors in coastal communities exchange this plastic for money and get access to social resources such as healthcare, education and financial security.

Through Ocean Bottle’s network of partners, they are putting a value on plastic, paying collectors up to three times the market rate depending on the type of plastic. The ocean-bound plastic collected goes back into circularity loops, where it is reused across various industries and applications.
