ROLE: Paid Search & PPC Manager/Lead
LOCATION: CHESTER, UK (CITY CENTRE)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, international company. Orientation Marketing is a Chester-based B2B marketing agency servicing science and technical industries such as pharmaceutical, medical, food and nutraceutical. The company was founded in 2015 in Chester, UK and has offices in Finland and USA. Orientation Marketing is also a certified Google Partner and the agency has previously been shortlisted in the Digital Agency of the Year category in the Northern Digital Awards. We work in a vibrant office atmosphere, with a retro games consoles, beer pump and music system etc. and we are a sociable team and often arrange team events outside of work hours but we pride ourselves on the specialist service we offer our clients. The role we are recruiting for is within the digital marketing team, and will assist the Orientation Marketing team with managing existing PPC accounts, mainly in the form of Google Ads.

Paid Search & PPC Manager/Lead JOB Role and PURPOSE

This is an opportunity to join a successful and growing agency and expand the service offering for the agency. The role is focussed on managing and executing the day-to-day operations of Google Ads campaigns (text ads, display, YouTube) for our range of clients, as well as collaborating on paid social and other PPC campaigns.

Reporting to the Digital Marketing Operations Manager and Directors, you will be responsible for managing entire projects from the PPC strategy, setup, tracking, and ongoing optimisation and then reporting, delivering consistent, on-time excellent results that delight the clients. (Please note that the successful candidate will be required to attend the office regularly for team and client meetings - this is not a fully remote role.)

Paid Search & PPC Manager/Lead Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for to day-to-day optimisation and management of all Google Ads campaigns to deliver on KPIs and improve return on investment for our range of pharmaceutical-based clients

  • Scope new Google Ads client needs and then translate these needs into the efficient setup of new ads and campaigns

  • Support Account Managers on client meetings and calls, providing insight to help guide clients with their PPC and user acquisition needs and fixing issues where necessary

  • Create ongoing client-facing documents to effectively communicate the performance of your campaigns

  • Spot new opportunities within the PPC environment and present ways in which we can apply to our client offering

  • Manage the agency’s MCC and collaboratively manage the agency’s PPC offering

  • You will also work on paid social campaigns, managing campaigns for clients in the same manner as you would with Google Ads.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

  • Extensive experience with Google Ads – you will be the agency’s main Google Ads technician and therefore your knowledge of Google Ads will be second-to-none

  • A minimum of four year's experience in managing Google Ads and paid media campaigns

  • You will be technically minded, and driven by numbers, but you will also need to be able to communicate technical matters in a simple and concise way

  • Proficiency in Google Analytics and Excel with the ability to report on monthly campaign performance and provide actionable recommendations

  • You will also be proficient with Google Analytics, and similar tools, to help with ad hoc client needs (such as the creation of technical reports or the set up the integration between Google Ads and other tools)

  • Experience of working within B2B environments is highly desired

  • Experience of working within the pharmaceutical and life science sectors would be beneficial, but not essential

  • Proven ability to manage time effectively whilst successfully coordinating and co-creating with team members

  • This is a new role for the agency, so we are looking for someone to hit the ground running and “own” this role.
